Welcome

If you follow my other blog, A Boston Baker Blogs, you'll know that I do some traveling. I'm in my mid-20s. The years are zipping by at 200mph and I'm doing my best to capture every moment. I started this blog as a way to share with the world the way I view it..and also, the best and sometimes cheap(er) ways to travel. Where to stay. How to fly, boat, walk, drive, ride. I'll fill you in on all my favorite things to do in the places I visit, the best local places to have a bite to eat. And because I AM a 20 something girl who loves to take a vacation or two on a budget, I will give you the best ways to find discounts on everything from food to that ticket to the museum or amusement park.

Some of the information you may know, some of it you may not. I'm just offering my perspective on things. With lots of beautiful pictures. Because along with cooking and traveling, one of my all time favorite things to do is take my camera everywhere with me and snap a few photos of things that catch my eye. When I go away, I take too many pictures to share but I never want to forget one single moment of what's happening around me. I currently have a Nikon P80..10MP and 18x optical zoom. I've had it for a little less than a year and I love it. I haven't quite mastered all the bells and whistles yet but so far, it's my favorite camera. In the past I've had a Nikon L1 with 6.2MP and 5x optical zoom and a Kodak EasyShare CX6330 3.1MP and 3x zoom.

I've only been traveling alone(without a parent) since I was 19. The first real trip I ever went on, that I remember, was to Disney World with my mom, her friend and daughter and my brother. I don't remember enough about any of that to post here but I will tell you right now, that trip was when I was bitten by the bug and ever since I was old enough to travel alone, I've been doing everything possible to make that happen.

One of my favorite places to visit is Las Vegas. I've been going there since I was 20. I know, I know. You're saying to yourselves, but you have to be 21 to even put your big toe on the casino floor! Yes, I understand that. I wasn't there for gambling and drinking. I'll tell you all about that trip in a separate post.

I will warn you now that in general, the majority of my excursions involve NASCAR. I've been a NASCAR fan for as long as I can remember. But that doesn't mean that every single trip completely revolves around NASCAR. In fact, my long(er) trips usually just include racing for a weekend and the rest of the time is spend exploring the surrounding areas.

Here is a list of trips I've been on in the last 4-5 years or so that I will be making posts on in the coming days and weeks ahead:

Daytona Beach, FL-July 2005
Las Vegas, NV-March 2006
Loudon, NH-July 2006

After all of these, my next trip coming up in less than two months is to Eastern Pennsylvania. :)

Be on the lookout for my first real post coming up soon!

Bon voyage!

Ashley
